The First 8 Pals You Should Get in Palworld

Introduction

Palworld is an exciting new game that allows players to collect and train a variety of adorable creatures known as Pals. These Pals come in all shapes and sizes, each with their own unique abilities and characteristics. In this blog post, we will explore the first 8 Pals that you should aim to get in Palworld, as they will provide a strong foundation for your gameplay experience.

1. Cattiva

Cattiva

Cattiva is the first Pal you should get. Not only is Cattiva great for crafting when you get your base but they also increase your base carry capacity when in your team. Your base carry capacity increases for every Cattiva in your party so there is a benefit to having more than one. Plus you’ll get bonus XP for the first ten you catch. They are effortless to find all over the beginning area. They are a Neutral Pal and have work suitabilities of Level 1 Handiwork, Level 1 Transporting, Level 1 Gathering and Level 1 Mining.

2. DaeDream

Daedream

Daedream is a Dark Pal, you’ll find them around at night in the starting area. Remember that Dark Pals are strong against Neutral Pals which are most of the Pals in the starting area. Daedreams are helpful if you need a boost to your damage. Their partner skill is Dream Chaser; “While in the party, Daedream appears near the player and follows up player attacks with magic bullets.” This lets you have the benefit of two Pals without actually being able to have two Pals out. Just be careful, because there is no way to turn off Dream Chaser so if you are trying to catch Pals you’ll have to remember that they will attack after you do. You won’t be able to unlock this ability until Level 8 when you can unlock Daedream’s Necklace. Daedream can still be helpful in your base until you can get Daedream’s Necklace since they have Level 1 Handiwork, Level 1 Transporting and Level 1 Gathering.

3. Gumoss

Gumoss is another Pal that gives you a passive benefit for being in your party. Their skill is Logging Assistance: “While in team, improves efficiency of cutting trees” This is massively helpful when your Pals can’t supply all your wood needs. You can find Gumoss in the starting area. The only work suitability that Gumoss has is Level 1 Planting, this can be helpful if you need Planting to finish automating your berry farming but otherwise isn’t super helpful. Gumoss’ biggest benefit is speeding up your wood gathering and getting the bonus XP for catching 10.

4. Teafant

Teafant is the first Pal that you will come across that has a healing skill. They will heal you 200 HP when you use their skill. Plus they are adorable. You’ll need to venture out of the starting zone to find Teafant but it will be more than worth your effort. They can be found near water. Healing is rare and having Teafant will allow you to stay alive longer and venture further away from Fast Travel Points without dying. Teafant can also help with Bosses and Dungeons. They have Level 1 Watering which can help out with food production while in your base.

5. Rushoar

Rushoar is a Ground Pal and their partner skill is that they can be used as a mount. They are decently fast and found only a little further out than Teafant. They have Level 1 Mining and drop Rushoar Pork, Leather and Bone. Their drops and use as a mount are what makes Rushoar useful.

6. Nitewing

Nitewing is probably the first Flying Pal you will see. Getting into the air will allow you to explore much faster than on the ground. You’ll be able to focus on areas with the Pals you are looking for plus they are also a good escape plan if you need to get out of an area quickly.

7. Vixy

Vixy

Vixy is more for your base than for your team. Their partner skill Dig Here: “Sometimes digs up items when assigned to Ranch.” They can dig up Pal Spheres and other helpful resources that you would otherwise have to grind to get. This can speed up your early game and there are reports of Vixy digging up Mega Spheres at three stars. Vixy’s work suitabilities are Level 1 Farming and Level 1 Gathering and are a Neutral Pal.

8. Foxparks

Foxparks

Foxparks is a Fire Pal that you’ll be able to find easily in the beginning area of the game. They are the first Pal you will run into that will be able to run your furnace as they have Level 1 Kindling as their work suitability. At Level 6 you’ll be able to unlock Foxparks Harness and turn your Foxparks into a flamethrower. This can be useful for killing Pals quickly though it does have a fairly long cooldown. You’ll be able to find them near Gumoss.

Conclusion
