Palworld Egg Guide: Everything You Need to Know

Introduction

In the virtual world of Palworld, eggs are a great way to get new Pals. This can be a great way to get Pals you haven’t encountered yet. You can find eggs in the wild or breed two compatible Pals together. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, understanding how eggs work is essential. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about eggs in Palworld, including where to find them, how to breed Pals, how to obtain an incubator, and how to successfully hatch eggs.

Finding Eggs

Damp Egg - Palworld

Eggs can be found in various locations throughout Palworld. One of the most common ways to obtain eggs is by exploring near rocky outcrops or on cliffs. Eggs will respawn in the same locations  There are nine different types of eggs found so far:

  • Common Eggs – Neutral Pals
  • Dark Eggs – Dark Pals
  • Damp Eggs – Water Pals
  • Dragon Eggs – Dragon Pals
  • Electric Eggs – Electric Pals
  • Dragon Eggs – Dragon Pals
  • Rocky Eggs – Ground Pals
  • Frozen Eggs – Frozen Pals
  • Scorching Eggs – Fire Pals
  • Verdant Eggs – Grass Pals

Each egg comes in three different sizes: Regular, Large and Huge. What Pals can hatch from the egg depends on the egg type and size. You are most likely to find Common eggs and Huge are the least likely. The bigger the egg the longer it will take to incubate but you are more likely to get a rare powerful Pal.

Breeding Pals

You will need to reach Level 19 before you can breed your Pals. You’ll need to unlock the Mixed Farm. To breed Pals, you’ll need two compatible Pals of opposite genders. Next you will need to make a cake. It can take more than one cake to breed your Pals so make a couple just in case. It will take a while to make each cake so make sure you have a Pal who has the Handiwork skill on your base to help you out.

Make sure that both Pals you want to breed are working on the base, place the cake in the Breeding Farm Chest and put both the Pals you want to breed at the Mixed Farm. You should see a breeding indicator in the middle of the farm and a progress meter. If the cake runs out you will not get an egg when the progress meter is completed.

It’s important to choose strong Pals who have passive skills that you want to pass on. Ideally, you will want to breed two Pals with skills that you want to pass on to the baby. By breeding Pals you can pass on skills that your legendary Pals have to your normal Pals. There is a player-made breeding calculator that you may find helpful.

Obtaining an Incubator

An incubator is a device used to hatch eggs in Palworld. To obtain an incubator, you will need to unlock the Egg Incubator. They are part of the Ancient Technology branch at Level 7 so you will need to defeat at least one boss to get it. Once you have an incubator, place the egg inside and wait for it to hatch.

Hatching Eggs

Hatching an egg requires patience and proper care. Once you have an egg and an incubator, place the egg inside the incubator. The timer will appear, and the timer can be impacted by how suitable the surrounding environment is. If the egg is ‘comfortable’ then it will go at 100% speed, if the egg is too cold or too hot it will go at 50% speed. Remember nighttime is colder than daytime so you might want to check on your egg if it switches from one to the other while you are hatching your egg.

The hatching process can take some time, so be patient. While waiting, you can continue exploring, catching Pals or creating more cake for breeding. Once the egg hatches, a new Pal will emerge, ready to join your team.

Conclusion

Eggs are a vital part of the breeding and nurturing process in Palworld. By understanding where to find eggs, how to breed Pals, how to obtain an incubator, and how to successfully hatch eggs, you’ll be well on your way to building a diverse and powerful team of Pals. Remember to be patient and attentive during the hatching process, and don’t hesitate to seek advice from the Palworld community. Happy hatching!
